Our daughter’s turning into quite the fierce toddler. She’s not afraid to make her stand and she won’t allow people to take advantage of her. (sometimes I’m afraid she may turn into a bully but we’re setting boundaries so she won’t get there). In any case, over the past few weeks, we’ve realized that Wardah can help out in terms of putting away stuff and passing stuff to either one of us when asked. As in, after playing bubbles with her, I asked her nicely to return the container to its rightful place and she did. Of course, after such events, much fanfare is made to give her positive reinforcement
She’s also turning out to be quite the talker, recognizing items and its names. What’s a tad annoying is that she refuses to say “Tok Wan”-what she’s supposed to call my MIL. Whenever we try to teach her to say Tok Wan, she’ll answer “two, three”…get it? hahaha….we suspect it’s her private little joke to rile us up. She’s got a sense of humour, this one. Definitely wacky…but is wacky a learned behaviour? Cos her mannerisms really do remind us of ourselves. Of all people, she tends to imitate what I do or say most. Not a surprise there cos I’m her mom. Even her facial expression mirrors mine, especially the ‘jeling’ and ‘eyebrow dance’.
Anyhoo, here’s a picture of my lil darling, taken at the stroke of midnight today:

We love you, Wardah Solehah. Happy 1.5yrs old, darling baby. You’ll always be our baby. May Allah keep you safe and happy always, amiin. <3<3<3
